Independent buying group IBC has launched the 2014/15 Supplier of the Year initiative.

The award will recognise and reward the supplier that has contributed the most support to IBC its members, as well as helping to increase its own sales and brand presence within the group.

Sales and operations director John Brett said: “This is a great opportunity for our suppliers to prove themselves when it comes to customer support and improved partner sales, through availability, range and innovation of product portfolio, speed of response, professionalism and engagement with IBC members at all levels.”

Steve Stafford, procurement manager, added: “We have always been able to develop strong relationships with our approved suppliers and we believe that this contributes to better service for IBC members. We are hoping that this award will not only continue to develop the supplier/member relationship, but also allow us to show our gratitude for their support for IBC.”

Alongside the Supplier of the Year award, IBC will be running a Sales Person of the Year award, in which representatives will be asked to go the extra mile for IBC members. Both will be evaluated over the next 12 months and winners will be announced in May 2015.
