Independent groundwork and civil engineering merchant, Rudridge, is delighted to be sponsoring the 2014 Tamdown Foundation Triathlon, which is happening on Friday 11 April.

Taking place at Alton Water in Suffolk, this is the fifth year that construction contractors, Tamdown Group, has staged the popular event. Beginning with an eight mile bike ride, followed by a one mile canoe, then finishing with a three mile run, the event can be completed by an individual or a team of three, with each member taking on one of the challenges.

The triathlon will be in aid of the Tamdown Foundation, which raises money to support Tamdown Group’s chosen charities that have been nominated by their employees

Robert Rudd and Alan Betteridge, directors at Rudridge, said: “Over the last five years, the Tamdown Triathlon has grown to be a hugely successful event raising money for some fantastic causes and we are delighted to be one of the sponsors helping even more charities receive support. The Foundation works hard to bring employees, clients and friends together, something that we at Rudridge value highly. We wish everyone taking part the very best of luck.”

As the event has grown, more and more companies, from suppliers to housebuilders, have taken part, including Barratt Homes, Bloor Homes, Polypipe, and JB-Developments.

To register, visit www.tamdown.com, alternatively you can contact mike.hine@triconnex.co.uk. Entry costs £25 for each participant, which is donated to the Tamdown Foundation, and anyone taking part is encouraged to do further fundraising through sponsorship.
