Buck & Hickman, distributor of tools, maintenance and health and safety products, has launched its Mobile Centre of Excellence, offering construction sector customers the chance to experience its product and service offering for themselves.

The Mobile Centre of Excellence will visit customer production facilities, as well as Buck & Hickman’s own nationwide branch network, to showcase the capabilities of the company and its suppliers. It features interactive demonstration rigs for hand and power tools and personal protective equipment (PPE), while product displays and video demonstrations from the company’s supplier partners present ways in which Buck & Hickman could add value through services such as vendor-managed inventory, product and brand rationalisation, and application advice.

Managing director Ian Ritchie said: “The Mobile Centre of Excellence has been designed to bring Buck & Hickman’s experience and capabilities direct to existing and potential customers. It’s an inspiring environment, allowing visitors to benefit from a truly hands-on experience of the combined offering of Buck & Hickman and our suppliers.

“With the information and products physically in front of visitor’s eyes, they can gain a better understanding of how we can help them to lower total acquisition costs, optimise production efficiency and reduce working capital.”
