Eleven successful delegates from SCA’s 2013-14 timber product training course visited SCA’s facilities in Sweden from 14-17 March. The group included timber merchants, builders’ merchants, DIY timber specialists and two of SCA’s own recent recruits.
TTJ Career Development Award 2013 winners Lauren Murdoch from Howarth Timber Windows & Doors and David Clement of Holbrook Timber Frame also joined the trip, as did Builders Merchants Federation Young Achiever 2013 winner Stephen Rennie of Keith Builders Merchants in Scotland.
The group visited SCA’s certified forests and tree nursery, in addition to putting their learning into context with a visit to SCA’s Tunadal whitewood mill.
