Christine Wilde, managing director of Catnic, continues her exceptional year by winning the Institute of Directors’ (IOD) South Wales regional Director of the Year award.

Earlier this year Ms Wilde scooped Best Business Leader and was also recognised as Woman of the Year at the Women Who Mean Business Awards. Now, she is the IoD’s Director of the Year for South Wales.

Ms Wilde has been managing director for five years. She was previously finance director, having worked at Catnic for 21 years in total.

Mike Murphy, sales and marketing director, said: “Christine is justifiably being widely recognised for her leadership and management at Catnic. It has been through Christine’s insight that, even during difficult financial times, Catnic as a business has forged ahead with important investment in research and development, innovating its product offering and crafting its customer service, to take the company to a profit-making business during seriously pressured times for the construction industry.”

Of the accolade, Ms Wilde herself commented: “I am so happy and of course extremely proud to have won this award, for both myself and the business. It really goes to show, hard work does pay off!”
