Quick Lane Europe, the fast-growing autocentre franchise, has an all-female team currently taking part in this year’s Pavestone Rally.

The event sees more than 40 teams travel across Europe in three days using road-legal vehicles under the value of £500, in a mission to raise funds for charity.

Taking place until the 8th September 2019, the Pavestone Rally takes teams from Reims in France, to Stuttgart in Germany, onto Salzburg in Austria, before passing through Venice and ending up in Lake Como, Italy.

Dressed in fancy dress, contestants have to complete challenges along the way, all in aid of three well deserving charities, The Rainy Day Trust, Teenage Cancer Trust and Variety, The Children’s Charity. Throughout the last three years the event has raised in excess of £325,000 with rally organisers hoping to raise £175,000 this year alone.

Representing Quick Lane in the event, Claire-Harrison Bradley, Leanne Villiers and Julia Cockwill, are driving an aging 15-year-old Ford Galaxy across Europe. To ensure the vehicle lasts the trip, it previously spent considerable time at the Quick Lane centre in Reading for vital maintenance work.

Claire Harrison-Bradley, Marketing Director at Quick Lane Europe, commented: “Not only is the Pavestone Rally fantastic fun, but it is a great way to earn vital funds for three amazing charities. As with any long trip, it is essential that important servicing work is carried out on the vehicle to ensure it performs to the highest standard and Quick Lane Reading gave us peace of mind that the old Galaxy will not let us down. We’re enjoying taking part and contributing to these great causes.”

Jo-Anne Brown, Events and Patrons Manager at Variety, the Children’s Charity, commented: “The Pavestone Rally looks like a lot of fun and we’ve been watching the progress of the Quick Lane team closely as they’ve worked to get their Galaxy ready for the journey. Events like this really help to raise money for deserving causes and will enable us to continue to improve the lives of children and young people throughout the UK who are sick, disabled or disadvantaged.”
