Keyline has commemorated the 10th year hosting its annual car rally in support of charity Prostate Cancer UK.

This event marks just one of the many initiatives Keyline hosts both regionally and nationally to raise money and awareness for the charity.

This year Keyline’s rally has taken the theme of Car-toons and in true Top Gear style, employees and suppliers will have to source their own car which is at least 25 years old or costs £1,500 or less. The car must be decorated in cartoon themed décor and drivers will be dressed in theme appropriate costumes. The rally will consist of 23 cars split into four cartoon named teams.

Drivers will set off from the Keyline head office in Swan Valley, Northampton, and drive 1,800 miles across Europe to Italy and back over the course of five days, taking part in a series of fun challenges, including collecting souvenirs from various towns, along the way. The teams will finish their journey at Disneyland Paris, where Keyline will host an awards ceremony and celebrate the journey.

Tommy Walsh, celebrity supporter of Prostate Cancer UK, said: “I have been supporting the Keyline Rally over the last few years and have been blown away by Keyline’s fundraising and commitment to Prostate Cancer UK.

“In the past ten years they have raised over £1 million on their adventures across Europe! It is a great way to bring staff and suppliers together to help stop prostate cancer from being a killer.”

Alongside other suppliers and customers are also Keyline employees who have been taking part in the Rally for the past ten years.

Paul Beaman, Managing Director at Keyline, said: “It is such an exciting milestone for everyone at Keyline, to be celebrating 10 years of hosting the rally and support for such a great cause. Everyone should be so proud of all of the funds raised and the awareness generated amongst men in the most susceptible age group.

“Our support even extends to our new dual branded Prostate Cancer UK truck spreading the message on the road. This rally is just one of the many ways that we show our continued support to Prostate Cancer UK and we’re all hoping that we raise the most money to date on this commemorative year!”

Tamarin Ward, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Prostate Cancer UK, added: “The Keyline Rally has been a highlight in Prostate Cancer UK’s calendar for the past ten years and the event has not only raised an incredible amount of money, but has spread an important health message about the disease too. We can’t thank Keyline and all their staff enough for the wonderful support throughout this long-standing partnership and I hope everyone has a brilliant time!

“We recently launched our new campaign, ‘Men, we are with you’, to celebrate everything great about men and highlight the special moments we lose when a man dies every 45 minutes from prostate cancer.

“It is with the support from organisations like Keyline helping us to amplify this message that we are able to push forward with our goal to stop prostate cancer being a killer.”
