Since Arbor Forest Products first launched Trex composite into the UK seven years ago, it has firmly established itself as the market leader, distributing the world’s number one decking brand and offering a level of quality and aftercare that other composite companies can’t compete with.

Trex is set to begin 2019 on a high, as distributor Arbor Forest Products has once again been listed as a supplier to the National Buying Group. This deal means that Trex Transcend will again be widely available to independent merchants across the UK.

And as more and more homeowners recognise the benefits of composite decking, and as the network of Trex installers grows, demand is rising and Trex distributor, Arbor Forest Products is expanding the range in response.

The newly expanded range will include new colours in Trex Transcend as well as new Trex decking products, designed to suit any project or budget that installers may be working on. The new products will allow merchants to offer customers more choice at an increased range of price points, without compromising on quality.

Like Trex Transcend, the upcoming ranges are made from 95 per cent recycled materials, including reclaimed wood and sawdust and plastic packaging: in fact, it’s estimated that Trex saves over 300,000 tonnes of plastic and timber waste products from landfills every year.

The Trex collection is designed to recreate the beauty of timber decking, with none of the arduous maintenance required: Trex composite decking won’t fade, stain, rot, or split, and it’s easy to clean with just a quick wash needed to bring it back to its pristine best.

Arbor Forest Products’ Trex product manager, Sarah Francis, said: “We know that composite decking is a significant driver of sales for independent merchants, and we’re delighted to once again be a supplier to the NBG which will allow us to offer our increased range of Trex products and colours to merchants across the country.

“The UK climate makes composite decking the ideal choice for a low-maintenance garden feature, and both homeowners and installers are driving demand – however, many composite products can’t match the quality of Trex which is why we’re keen to expand our collection to offer new products to satisfy those with a smaller budget as well as people looking for a true premium option.

“At Arbor Forest Products, we actively encourage our Trex installers to develop successful partnerships with their local merchants to ensure they can offer the best service to their customers. We’re once again offering ‘early buy’ offers to merchants who order Trex stock at the start of the year, so I’d encourage merchants to plan ahead and get in touch with their Trex rep as early as possible to take advantage of the best deals before demand ramps up again in early spring.”
