The British Woodworking Association has strengthened its Council and Executive Boards with three new hires.

Andrew Madge, Managing Director of Gowercroft Joinery, has been appointed to the Executive Board.

Madge will be supporting the woodworking and joinery trade association’s initiatives such as the Code of Conduct and its training schemes. He will also review its annual plan and support the BWF as it helps shape key government policies.

Wolfgang Gorner of Allan Brothers and Simon Badham of Arden Windows have both joined the BWF Council. They will work on the BWF’s strategy, celebrating woodworking and joinery expertise.

Sean Parnaby, President of the BWF, said: “Andrew has shown great drive and commitment to the BWF values, furthering the use of British joinery and inspiring the next generation to enter the industry.

“We’re also excited to welcome both Wolfgang and Simon to the BWF Council. As dedicated members of the BWF, they have been instrumental in promoting the benefits of wooden doors and windows.

“We look forward to them continuing to drive forward our strategy promoting the use of timber to the wider construction industry.”
