Chandlers Building Supplies has raised £500 for a local charity by hosting a football-themed day at its Brighton branch.

The builders’ merchant held a day of activities to raise money for Off The Fence, which offers support to homeless people in Brighton, and to mark the new extension to the branch, which was devastated by a fire in

Local councillor Robert Nemeth and neighbour DJ Fatboy Slim attended, along with Jason Burrill, the 2016 winner of reality TV show Big Brother, who played in goal for a ‘beat the goalie’ competition.

A lookalike of TV personality and music mogul Simon Cowell posed for photos with guests, and The Big Beach Café provided a barbeque breakfast. There was also a raffle to win a signed Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club shirt.
