Bristan has announced the appointment of two new regional sales managers, in a move to further enhance the expertise of its specification team. The decision reflects the company’s reinvigorated focus on specification market growth and follows the recent formation of a multi-specialised team across multiple sectors.

Louise Smith (pictured), who has previously worked for the brand as National Account Manager for housebuilders, will now be heading up a team of six Area Specification Managers in her new role as Regional Sales Manager for the southern region. Prior to her career at Bristan, she worked for a lighting manufacturer, managing housebuilder accounts for specification.

Bill Johnson has joined the business as Regional Sales Manager the northern area, having previously worked as an Area Sales Manager for an international group of businesses in the building products sector. He will also manage a team of Specification Managers with the aim of building relationships with specifiers across target sectors, including housebuilding, leisure, healthcare and education.

Craig Rendall, who recently became Specification Sales Director, said: “Louise and Bill are both experienced sales professionals with excellent knowledge of the specification market.

"We’ve recently embarked on a restructuring of our specification teams with the aim of growing our market share. Operating as Regional Sales Managers, they will be at the forefront of this new focus and tasked with delivering an even greater level of service to our customers.”

Bristan’s new specification team comprises 16 specification experts nationwide, with a further three working as in-office Specification Co-ordinators. It offers comprehensive coverage to stakeholders including facilities managers, contractors, specifiers, architects and housebuilders across the UK.
