Covers Timber & Builders Merchants in Chichester has raised £556.10 for St Wilfrid’s Hospice at its annual summer fayre.

More than 700 people visited the depot at the weekend to enjoy an action-packed programme of events including a mini farm, children’s entertainer Nick Clark, bouncy castle, treasure hunt and face painting.

Children were also able to put their football skills to the test for a chance to win a football during a Beat the Goalie competition.

All donations for the charity were raised from entries into the tombola.

Popular characters Mr and Mrs Incredible and Executive Chef at the Goodwood Hotel Mark Foreman, who provided barbecue demonstrations, were also in attendance.

Richard Murrell, Depot Manager of Covers Home Ideas, said: “We were really lucky that the sun was shining throughout the Covers’ Summer Fayre on Saturday. It was wonderful to see so many families coming out to join us and enjoying all the activities on offer.”
