Stopgap founder John Ward has sadly passed away and his family invites friends and colleagues to attend a thanksgiving service in honour of Ward’s life.

Ward founded the company in 1981 as a merchant only heavy side brand based in Dartford. In 2011, Ward stepped down as Chairman but remained an active member of the board.

A service will be held Friday 27 April on at 2.00pm at St. John’s Church, Hildenborough, TN11 9HR.

There has been a request for no flowers or wreaths as there will be a collection for Scott’s Project, supporting adults in Kent with learning disabilities. More information or to donate can be found here: www.scottsproject.org.uk

Ward’s family has said: “Please don’t feel you need to wear black; we want celebrate Dad’s 86 years of life.”
