Ibstock Brick has been recognised for its marketing support at the Jewson annual supplier awards.

The UK brick manufacturer picked up the Juice Award for Best Marketing Support at the event which took place as part of the Jewson annual conference and customer show in December. The award recognises Ibstock’s commitment, engagement and support to in helping Jewson to improve its brick offering for customers. The Ibstock Brick team, in particular, National Account Manager Sue Foster; Market Manager Sarah Holey; and the samples department at the Leicestershire head office were praised for their support.

As part of the strategy, Jewson required 1,000 brick panels for its branches in the South West and London regions. However, some of the complications in producing a high volume of panels had not been anticipated and threatened to hold up the roll-out. Through consultation with all parties involved, Ibstock Brick suggested altering the specification of the panels to reduce the time needed to produce them so the project could remain on track.

The award, which is decided by an executive panel, also recognised a number of other factors, such as Ibstock Brick’s execution of sales training, commitment to grow sales through a long-term partnership and engagement across Jewson business activities, including support of the Tour de Jewson in aid of Barnardo’s in 2016.

Simon Taylor, Director of Sales (Builders Merchants) at Ibstock Brick, said: “It is fantastic to be recognised for the marketing support we provide to Jewson and its branches. It is the result of the combined efforts of our marketing, sales and samples teams at all levels of the Jewson business, from Regional Directors and their teams to the branch staff.”

As well as providing on-going marketing support, the teams went above and beyond what was required, coming up with an alternative solution to ensure the roll out of Jewson’s display project remained on track. It is this commitment that helps our customers grow and creates long-term business relationships.”
