Keyline’s South Wales branches raised a fantastic £885 for Prostate Cancer UK during their inaugural charity golf day held at Cottrell Park Golf Resort on Friday 15th September.

A total of 55 guests, made up of Keyline staff, suppliers and customers, took part in the four ball competition helping to make the day a great success. The team representing WDL Contracting based in Aberdare were the overall victors and were presented with a selection of prizes.

The money was raised through auctioning a signed glove by boxer Anthony Joshua and a raffle. Additionally, the fundraising was boosted by teams being charged a penalty if they did not return with a coloured golf ball.

Following the golf, players enjoyed a well-deserved rest with a sit-down meal, and also enjoyed a performance by comedian Nick Page, who has recently been named the English Comedian of the Year 2017.

Rob Sanders, CSO Wales Manager at Keyline, said: “Our golf event at Cottrell Park was extremely well supported and a thoroughly enjoyable day was had by everyone who attended. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our staff, customers and suppliers who took part in the day and helped us to not only raise £885 for a fantastic charity, but to also increase awareness of the most common cancer in men.

“Special thanks go to the club for organising the event, Prostate Cancer UK for attending and speaking to all the players, and our suppliers Polypipe, Wavin, Marshalls, Klargester and ACO who supported the event.”

Prostate Cancer UK is Keyline’s nominated charity and the civils and drainage supplier will be holding various fundraising events throughout the year. The money raised will help the charity continue with its ground-breaking research so they can achieve their aim of stopping men dying from prostate cancer.
