VELUX has won Marketing Team of the Year at the Marketing Society Star Awards for its work on two campaigns that helped grow its share of the roof window market.

The Glenrothes-based company picked up the gong along with a gold and two silver awards for its campaign to promote the benefits of its roof windows in single storey extensions to homeowners, installers and architects. It also scooped a silver award for the successful launch and roll-out of its white-painted window range.

The VELUX team took a further two gold awards at Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) Scotland DARE, held in Edinburgh on the same night, for its extensions campaign.

Jim Coates, Commercial Director of VELUX, said: “The haul of awards was a true team effort. Not only did we successfully roll-out a brand new product range of white-painted roof windows as standard, a bold move in a market dominated by pine for decades, but our single storey extensions campaign was launched at a time when Brexit had delivered a big knock to consumer confidence.”
