PETERBOROUGH: The Deepings Trading Company has added new displays and equipment to the in-house eco-building showroom at Market Deepings to "strengthen its commitment to supplying cost effective and sustainable building products."

Ian Greenfield, Deepings Trading operations director said: "The displays allow visitors to see working demonstrations, not just catalogues. We plan constantly to develop the showroom – as new innovative products come onto the market we will add them to our displays."

Displays include a working source heat pump from Mitsubishi, a mock up of a solar powered central heating system from Glow-worm, a rainwater harvesting unit, water saving bathroom suites and showers, heat recovery ventilation systems and a roof system displaying the latest in sustainable insulation and roofing products. These products will enable building contractors and developers to meet the Code for Sustainable Homes and the environmental requirements of new developments.

Mr Greenfield said: "Deepings Trading is aiming to be a one-stop shop for meeting sustainable construction needs, including offering a cost effective supply and fit service that solves a lot of the confusing issues currently surrounding sustainability."
