Rudridge will be supporting the managing director of a long standing customer, who is raising awareness for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre, by helping him to raise funds for the cause.

Aaron McSkimming, from AD Bly Construction in Hertfordshire, will be undertaking the challenging and unarguably mammoth task of running the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 23 April to raise his target of £15,000 for the charity.

The Prostate Cancer Research Centre is a charity that has great significance to Aaron and his family after his father, Alex McSkimming, passed away in August 2015 following a two-year battle with the disease.

Aaron said: "The statistics suggest that one in eight men will be affected by prostate cancer at some point. However, my mum was also greatly affected by losing her husband and best friend of nearly 50 years."

The Prostate Cancer Research Centre aims to develop new therapies for men with advanced stages of the disease and is dedicated to improving survival and treatment through research.

Aaron added: "It's a phenomenal charity, which is very close to my heart, so I have been training incredibly hard to raise additional funds to help find a cure for this awful and life changing disease."

Clive Summerfield, regional director at Rudridge, said: "We are delighted to be supporting Aaron in his quest to undertake this huge task in his father's memory - we wish him all the very best of luck with the race."
