Ridgeons recently celebrated its employees reaching impressive milestones within their Ridgeons’ careers.

The family business’ annual awards held in Cambridge, saw one employee welcomed to the ‘25 Club’, with three recognised for 35 years of continued service in front of existing members and their guests.

The ‘25 Club’ was established in 1958, to acknowledge the achievements of all Ridgeons employees - past, present, full-time and part-time - who have accomplished 25 years’ service or more. The Club allows members to meet and remain in contact with retired employees and their families, while also promoting the interests in the general welfare of all members.

Kevin Borein, a sales representative for the Kelvedon and Colchester area, was praised as he collected his award for 25 years of dedicated service to Ridgeons. On the night, Mr Borein was described as a well-respected team player, with strong industry knowledge and communication skills. Throughout the years he has built up excellent relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues, making him an indispensible member of Ridgeons staff.

Phil Stearn, Phil Bryant and Greg Benson were all celebrated having reached 35 years of service with the timber and builders’ merchant. Along with Kevin Borein, these members all received inscribed pens, gifts and a framed special service certificate, which were presented by Gordon Ridgeon and ‘25 Club’ president, Rachel Anderson.

Mr Ridgeon said: “On behalf of all the Ridgeon family, I am proud to celebrate the achievements of new and existing members of the ‘25 Club’. The annual awards allow us to reward the loyalty of these employees and demonstrate our gratitude for their continued, dedicated service. People are at the heart of everything we do, so it’s great to see so many employees reaching big milestones within their careers at Ridgeons. I look forward to seeing many more employees joining the ‘25 Club’ in the upcoming years.”
