Boiler manufacturer Baxi is leading the way in developing customer relationships by being the only company of its kind to exhibit at this year’s Trade Talks, hosted by Plumb Center.

Baxi, together with its sister brand Potterton, has supported the events since their launch in April, seizing the opportunity to connect with more than 2,500 heating professionals.

The free events from Plumb Center combine industry Q&A sessions with a supplier exhibition, and have proved a hit with visitors.

Mike Sage, who owns Abbey Plumbing & Heating in Leeds, said: “The event was really interesting and a fantastic way to get to meet with a variety of different brands.

“I already know the Baxi sales team from attending other hands-on events that they have run in branch, but this was a great opportunity to develop that supplier relationship outside of the traditional work environment, in a way that can’t be done over the phone or on email.

“As a result I feel more able to call for help or advice when I do need it – and perhaps more importantly the team know more about me, so are in a better position to give me what I need. It’s an essential part of running a business.”

David Cook, sales director at Baxi, said: “We firmly believe in getting out and about to meet new and existing customers. These events are ideal because they offer heating professionals the chance to interact with lots of brands all in one go, while getting up-to-date advice on industry issues.”

There are two dates left in the Trade Talk roadshow with events in Exeter on Thursday 9 June and Glasgow on Tuesday 14 June.
