Howarth Timber and Building Supplies shared its expertise as an authority on fire door safety at a recent Fire Safety and Protection seminar hosted by Johnstone’s Trade.

More than 200 delegates heard experts from Howarth Timber – which is one of the founding members of the British Woodworking Federation’s (BWF) Certifire Fire Door Scheme - deliver a comprehensive guide to the latest developments in fire door installation and current building regulations, alongside representatives from the BWF.

The event brought together specifiers, architects, project managers, quantity surveyors and asset managers who came to learn about the correct methods and procedures for fire safety within buildings. Building managers face more scrutiny over the safety of their fire doors than ever before, and Howarth Timber has been helping its customers to stay abreast of developments in building regulations in recent years.

Neale Brewster, marketing and product development manager at Howarth Timber said: “We relish the opportunity to share our fire door safety expertise with customers and friends from across the building industry. We encourage everyone to stay abreast of developments in fire door technology, in order to meet regulations and keep buildings safe.”
