Ryan Horsley is now branch manager at Kent Blaxill’s Bury St Edmunds store.

Mr Horsley has extensive experience in building supplies having spent 19 years in the industry, 17 of them at managerial level and ten as a branch manager.

He said: “I am looking at giving the branch some uplift and am really focusing on the areas where we can excel. I see landscaping as an area where we have huge potential, and we have recently employed Dan Millyard, an ex-landscaper, to head this up. I will also be looking to increase the glass department and to continue the expansion of our decorative business, which I believe is second to none in the area.

"In terms of the environment, we have already begun to relocate products in our yard, moving the bricks and blocks to the perimeter so as to create more visibility throughout. This will also help to improve traffic flow as a full turning circle for artic lorries will be incorporated into the new layout. Internally I am looking to make the branch stand out and we are currently removing walls to open it up. The aim is to have specific sections so as to make the customer journey as efficient as possible. This is an exciting time for the branch.”
