Security specialist Yale has appointed Chris Hardman as head of national accounts (trade), saying the move shows the company’s investment in its relationship with partners in the trade sector.

Mr Hardman will work closely with Yale’s builder’s merchant customers, his new employer says.

He joins Yale for the second time, previously worked at Yale for almost four years. Mr Hardman gained over 11 years of experience in the DIY and Trade sectors working for Bostik, Focus DIY and Great Mills.

“I am excited by this new opportunity and look forward to growing the business. My aim is to grow awareness of Yale’s strong brand throughout the trade sector,” he said.

Nigel Fisher, managing director for Yale, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Chris to the team. We are committed to investing in people, and this in turn enables us to increase the support we offer our customers.”

Mr Hardman lives in Newcastle-under-Lyme with his wife and two daughters. A sports fanatic, he has run in several half marathons and is a Stoke City F.C. season ticket holder.
