North West-based builders’ merchant Beesley & Fildes has completed the purchase of Radcliffe Building Supplies.
The business became available to purchase due to the retirement of Fred Wilkinson who founded the company over 30 years ago.
Established since 1820, Beesley & Fildes is a family-owned company with eight depots throughout the North West and offers online trading. The site in Radcliffe will be transformed with a substantial investment programme to offer one of the most comprehensive services to the construction and maintenance markets in the region.
Commenting on the acquisition, Lee Davies, managing director at Beesley & Fildes, said: “The acquisition of this site in Manchester will help to expand our operations throughout the North West.”
