More than £8,000 has been collected for Great Ormond Street Hospital by charity fundraisers at Heating Plumbing Supplies (HPS).
Staff and customers from the company’s Croydon, Lewisham and Merton branches, as well as suppliers, gathered at HPS’ Coulsdon charity golf day on 4 June.
The final total raised on the day amounted to £8920.
Peter Wilson, company sales and marketing director, said: “This superb figure was a new record raised at a HPS Golf Day and was achieved with contributions from those attending on the day, along with a raffle and very successful charity auction."
Last year the company raised over £55,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital, and has altogether collected in excess of £300,000 for the children’s hospital.
