SCA has announced a number of personnel changes to its UK timber supply operation.

Quality assurance manager John Buffel, who is well known among SCA’s merchant customers, has announced his retirement. SCA would like to wish Mr Buffel a long and happy retirement.

As a result of Mr Buffel’s departure, SCA has appointed Ros Heron as quality assurance and environmental manager. Ms Heron is an experienced quality assurance manager having developed her experience in a variety of industries. Her knowledge of implementing systems and procedures will enable SCA to build on the quality platform established over the past year.

In addition, SCA has appointed Adam Llewellyn as its new financial controller. Mr Llewellyn brings with him extensive financial experience from a manufacturing background. He will focus on productivity and efficiency, and will be central to SCA’s manufacturing decisions.

SCA Timber Supply’s UK managing director, John Griffiths, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ros and Adam to the team. I would personally like to thank John for his contributions to SCA and for his efforts in developing our quality procedures over the past year. I am confident that Ros will bring a new level of expertise to further progress the work that John has achieved.”
