Excellence in paving installation was rewarded by Brett Landscaping and Building Products at the company’s annual Approved Installer Awards, which celebrates the achievements of paving contractors who are members of its Brett Approved Installer (BAI) scheme.

The coveted awards are open to all BAIs, who submit their portfolios for scrutiny by an independent judging panel of landscaping specialists, including paving expert Tony McCormack. Further awards for Contractors’ Choice were voted for at the event by the installers themselves.

With over 300 entries representing in excess of 65% of the installer membership, the judges saw a showcase of the high-quality work done by Brett Approved Installers across the UK.

This year, Woods Paving secured the event’s ultimate prize, National Installer of the Year, as well as winning Regional Installer of the Year (South East). “It’s tremendous to have been acknowledged within two separate categories at the Brett Approved Installer Awards. It demonstrates how Woods Paving is excelling within its field in terms of quality, installation, design and versatility,” said Robert Wood.

Meanwhile, Kent-based Paramount Paving – National Installer of the Year for the past two years – was narrowly beaten to the top spot this year. However, the company still managed to secure two category wins for Outstanding Project Portfolio and Best Small Driveway, as well as being runner up in other categories.

ProPave and Leicester Drives & Gardens were the other Regional Installer winners, for the South West and North regions, respectively. The latter company also took home the award for Best Large Patio.

Rounding out the driveway and patio awards were Bowen Paving, who won for Best Large Driveway, and Muddy Boots, the winner of Best Small Patio.

In total, over 30 Brett Approved Installers won or were commended for their work, a testament to the strength of the BAI scheme.

“This is the eighth year of the BAI Awards, and we take real pleasure in seeing the sheer diversity of the work being completed using Brett products,” explained Alan Smith, managing director of Brett Landscaping and Building Products. “Past winners never sit on their laurels and remain committed to giving each new customer the highest standards of service and professionalism; while every year they are joined by equally talented first-time winners.”

During the event, Brett Landscaping and Building Products also showcased the company’s relaunched Gardens & Drives brochure, which incorporates many previous BAI-winning installations. “The exceptional work of our Approved Installers remain the best means we have of demonstrating the quality of our range in real-life situations,” added Mr Smith.

In a stroke of irony, while the BAI Awards were taking place Brett Landscaping unexpectedly found itself a winner when the company was named ‘Supplier of the Year’ for the Buildbase Southern region.
