East Anglian-based builders’ merchant Collier & Catchpole has recruited Tony Atlee as its new branch manager of the Colchester yard.

Mr Atlee joins the team having spent more than eight years with independent merchant Nicholls & Clarke in Chadwell Heath, east London.

Managing director Tim Rowbottom is delighted to welcome Mr Atlee to Collier & Catchpole. He said: “As an independent family-owned business, we particularly recognise the importance of recruiting the right people; not just people who can do the job, but also those who will embrace the established values and culture of the company. We believe that Tony, with his experience, energy and enthusiasm, is a perfect addition to the team.”

Mr Atlee is happy to step up to the challenge, as he said: “I was attracted to the role because I wanted to be part of a family-run business with traditional values. I like how Collier & Catchpole value its customer base and service levels. It is a business that is going through a period of growth and diversification, and I know that I will enjoy being part of the team making it all happen.”
