TIMco has announced that Cris Tonks is to be its new quality control manager. Mr Tonks has been with the company for more than 18 years and will be located at the company’s head office in Nantwich.

Since Mr Tonks joined TIMco in 1996 he has gained a wealth of knowledge of the company, its products and the fastener and fixing industry. He will now use his valuable experience in the new role as the quality control manager and will oversee new product development, deal with existing and new suppliers within the Far East and Europe, as well as developing on-site training programmes for both merchants and end users. He will also be responsible for checking containers daily, spot checking products, and offering product support and answering technical questions.

Simon Midwood, managing director of TIMco, said: “Cris has been with the company for nearly 20 years and we’re privileged to have such a loyal member of staff work for us. Cris’s new role will allow him to use all of his existing knowledge and experience and to help create, design and test our new products.”
