Figures published recently by the Construction Products Association show a forecasted growth in the industry of 23% by the end of 2018, with private housing starts expected to grow by 10% in 2015. The Chancellor George Osborne’s announcement earlier this year that a new garden city development of 15,000 homes is to be built at Ebbsfleet, Kent puts the new development very close to home for the south-east based merchant. The government ultimately plans to build three garden cities, each with more than 15,000 homes.
All four Rudridge branches have seen substantial expansion in its trading as a result of greater certainty in the construction sector. In addition, this week’s news regarding the coalition’s second garden city in Bicester, Oxfordshire, confirms such stability.
