Bellway and Jewson are building sustainably

COVENTRY: Bellway Homes has appointed Jewson as one of its major suppliers of Chain of Custody approved timber and timber products,  as well as for heavyside materials.

The merchant's national network and strong environmental ethos helped secure the contract.

Julian Kenyon, group PR manager for Bellway Homes, stated: "Jewson's extensive experience in the housebuilding sector means that the builders' merchant can often provide bespoke or flexible solutions. Jewson worked closely with the Bellway Group procurement team and regional buyers to provide a national group deal to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.

"The role of the merchant within the supply chain has changed and Jewson is leading the way developing new service and delivery models to add value for housebuilders."

Bellway Homes is one of the UK's largest housebuilders. It has with sites spanning the length and breadth of the country. As part of the Bellway Group it has provided more than 100 000 homes since it was formed in 1946.
