Colleagues from the IT team at Travis Perkins Plc have helped Northampton-based St Luke's CEVA Primary School to renovate its school garden and to build a new play area.
The seven volunteers worked tirelessly to help clear and refurbish the whole area. Bags of 'play safe' bark from Plc brand Wickes were donated and laid by the team for a new play area. This forms part of Travis Perkins plc’s commitment to support the local community surrounding its head office.
James Collison, a service desk analyst in the IT team, said: "We're really pleased to be able to help out in the local community and with the company's support we can make a difference to the children at St Luke's. In IT we're part of several teams that are doing fundraising activities for charities and provide support to local community initiatives. It's great to be part of that."
Colleagues from the Travis Perkins IT department are taking part in forthcoming events in Northampton and further afield including; abseiling the national lift tower, a dragon boat race and both the Yorkshire and National 3 peaks, all to raise funds for the Northamptonshire and Warwickshire Air Ambulance Service.
