Ridgeons recently recognised the long service achievements of 46 employees at its annual Long Service Awards reception, held at the group's Pampisford branch, Cambridge.
The employees, who have accumulated an impressive 540 years’ combined service between them, came together from 14 of the group's 25 branches to join Ridgeons' directors and family members for a dedicated celebratory lunch.
One employee was recognised for 20 years of service, 12 employees for 15 years and 33 employees for 10 years. Ridgeons' director Amanda Ridgeon presented the employees with a framed, signed certificate acknowledging their achievement. Each frame was handcrafted at the group's timber processing plant in Herringswell by team leader Eddie Hart.
Director Gordon Ridgeon, who hosted the event, said: "The Ridgeons' Long Service awards are our way of thanking employees for their long service and continued commitment. Our business is built on relationships – relationships with customers, our communities and with one another, which is why we believe it is so important to mark and celebrate these achievements.
"Challenges within our industry are still apparent, however the commitment of all our employees is helping us during these testing times to continue to gain market share, contribute to the local economy and provide our customers with the level of service that they have grown to expect from the Ridgeons name. Our reputation is as strong as ever; it is what sets us apart from our competitors and is all thanks to the individual contributions and dedication of our employees."
At the event, each employee received a specially designed lapel pin, featuring the achieved years of service, along with the framed certificate, signed by vice chairman David Ridgeon MBE and deputy chairman Johnnie Sam.
