A donation of anti-slip decking for Calvert Trust Exmoor, an accessible adventure centre for people with disabilities, has been assisted by customers to Snows Timber.

So far, the accumulated amount has reached in excess of 200 x 4m lengths of anti-slip decking. These were delivered to Calvert Trust Exmoor on 29 September, and handed over by Snows’ area representative Tom Stanton.

Mark Bowers, commercial director at Snows Timber, said: “We’d like to thank all our customers for helping us to do good with decking this year.

“It’s been a joint effort; the more SnowDek customers have bought this spring and summer, the more anti-slip decking we’ve been able to put aside for Calvert Trust Exmoor.

“The season isn’t entirely finished yet, so we’ll aim to do more if we can. We thought it best to get the main delivery in so staff at Calvert Exmoor can start making use of it.”

Tony Potter, chief executive officer of Calvert Trust Exmoor, said “We are honoured that Snows have chosen to support us with this fantastic donation.

“We plan to use the decking to improve wheelchair access to our forest and bushcraft area, which will be an excellent addition and a great benefit to all of our guests.”
